Matt needed little introduction to Reds fans in returning to Aggborough this summer following a memorable loan spell during the 2021-2022 season.

He was a big part of a strong run of form at Aggborough during the early part of that 2022, not least his epic performance in the heartbreaking, historic FA Cup defeat to West Ham.

Matt’s time with us was of course cruelly cut short by a serious injury. He returned to competitive action during 2022-23, but a separate injury while on loan at Brackley left him on the sidelines again – just days before the two sides met in the Promotion Final.

Earlier in his career, Matt featured for Solihull Moors, Mansfield and Walsall among others.
